Ensuring Equitable Access and Implementation

This set of indicators looks at whether all students have the opportunity to expand their learning time and improve how that time is spent. The indicators do not directly measure the impact on students’ readiness for college, career, and civic life. Rather, they shed light on how school structures and practices can help or hinder student access to the learning and development opportunities that will lead to their success in school and beyond. The indicators examine factors such as added learning time; enriched and engaging curriculum; teacher engagement and collaboration; and minimal time lost to mis-scheduling, exclusionary discipline, and school closures.
