Participate in the Community Schools Directory!

Annenberg Institute for School Reform Thursday,March 12,2015

We are excited to announce the launch of the new Community Schools Directory from our partner, the Coalition for Community Schools! Over the last few years there has been a significant increase in interest and implementation of school-community partnerships and community schools specifically. The Coalition has created a directory that includes all types of community schools (emerging to fully developed) and will serve as a networking tool to connect you with other school and community leaders building community schools in your city, state, and across the country.

How do you know if you should complete the directory?

If you are implementing strong school-community partnerships in your school(s), we want you to complete the directory. All schools will fall somewhere on the continuum of community school development; what is important is that you are intentionally building community partnerships with your school(s).

Why should you complete the directory?

The Coalition wants this directory to be useful to you, no matter your stage of development as a community school.

  • Upon submission of your entry you will be provided with a “summary report” of your responses. You are encouraged to discuss your responses with your partners.
  • You will eventually be able to connect with others who are engaged in similar work, facing familiar challenges, and who are identifying solutions that will benefit you.

All schools using community partnerships are encouraged to join this national database!
